This workshop is a perfect way to learn how to create beautiful collage quilts and develop a thorough understanding of the Draw-Sew-Trim applique process.

In this workshop, I talk about colours and contrast, the very essentials of a successful collage applique.

I guide you through the preparation process, starting with printing your pattern, assembling it and transferring it onto white cotton fabric. I help you with fabric and thread selections. I instruct the applique of the Jaguar and the Sea Turtle designs step by step showing you all the little tricks and tips of the technique that saves you a lot of time and effort with any of your future applique projects.

I show you how to free-motion embroider your applique and create beautiful eyes that are full of life.

I also give some suggestions for finishing the quilt but it is up to you how you would like to do it. You can finish it as a bag, a  wall-hanging, a cushion or as a decoration for a notebook cover. Or perhaps you would like to incorporate it into a larger design with other animals.

The workshop takes place in a designated Facebook group. The price of the ticket includes the price of the Jaguar and the Sea Turtle patterns.  The patterns will be available in the Facebook group, in the "Files" section. The workshop is recorded,  therefore it is available to rewatch at any time, so you do not need to worry if the time of the workshop is not convenient for you. This gives you an opportunity to work at your own pace in the convenience of your home.

About your pattern:

There are two drawings in the "Files" section, a jaguar and a turtle.

This pattern is instructed using the Draw-Sew-Trim technique.

A good size for the jaguar: 16”×16” (40 x 40 cm).

A good size for the turtle: 12”×6” (30 x 15 cm).

(But you can enlarge the pattern to whatever size you need and create a wall hanging as well.)
