This workshop is a perfect way to learn how to create beautiful collage quilts and develop a thorough understanding of the Draw-Sew-Trim applique process. 

In this workshop, I talk about colours and contrast, the very essentials of a successful collage applique.

I guide you through the preparation process, starting with printing your pattern, assembling it and transferring it onto white cotton fabric. I help you with fabric and thread selections. I instruct the applique of the lion head design step by step showing you all the little tricks and tips of the technique that saves you a lot of time and effort with any of your future applique projects.

I show you how to free-motion embroider your applique and create beautiful eyes that are full of life.

I also give some suggestions for finishing the quilt but it is up to you how you would like to use it. You can finish it as a bag, a wall-hanging, a cushion or as a decoration for a notebook cover.

The workshop takes place in a designated Facebook group. The price of the ticket includes the price of the lion head pattern. The pattern will be available in the Facebook group, in the "Files" section. The workshop is recorded, therefore it is available to rewatch at any time, so you do not need to worry if the time of the workshop is not convenient for you. This gives you an opportunity to work at your own pace in the convenience of your home.

The videos cover the application of all the pieces.

About your pattern:

There are two drawings, a simple and an advanced design, you can work with either of them. In the workshop, I follow the simple design with the instructions but it can be applied to the advanced design too. 

This pattern is instructed using the Draw-Sew-Trim technique.

Size: 16”×16” (40 x 40 cm).

(But you can enlarge the pattern to whatever size you need and create a wall hanging as well.)
