The "Simple Design" series is a collection of hand-drawn pictures that can be used for any larger quilt compositions for a price of a cup of coffee.
This beutiful Hungarian Matyó design is one of the many Hungarian embroidery designs. Inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2012 . The folk art of the Matyó community in north-eastern Hungary in and around the town of Mezőkövesd is characterized by floral motifs. Matyó embroidery decorates the traditional dress of the region, worn by local people in celebratory events.
You can print this motif as it is to applique or embroider it onto a nice bag or repeat the design for a table top or table runner. You can also enlarge it to create a pretty cusion to decorate your home with.
